Reforming the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy Less WTO influence on the post-2013 CAP than previously
As a contribution to the DIIS seminar on the Danish EU Presidency and the Reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) on April 12 2012, Professor Carsten Daugbjerg, who is also the main speaker at the seminar, has written a DIIS Policy Brief where he looks at the reforms of the CAP in relation to WTO negotiations. The WTO farm trade regime has had an important impact on the evolution of the CAP, but the current Commission proposal for the post-2013 CAP seem less influenced by the WTO agenda.
